This picture was taken when I only had the basic outlines of each shape sketched out in pencil. There is no transition in the water from cyan to magenta, only the definite intermediary stages of color. The magenta pool of water at the bottom also has no rings or ripples and is purely still, reminiscent of a lava lamp. There is also no water drop hanging from the leaf yet.

This picture shows how I was experimenting with different layouts and objects for my Still Life. This was the final layout I chose for my Still Life. This was also a more formal layout, planned out drawing, and easy to re-draw. Color Experimentation: Oil Pastel Gradients Color Experimentation: Chalk Pastel Gradients Color Experimentation: Mixing various water colors to get unique and different colors Color Experimentation: Trying Different Turquoise Combinations
This is where I tried out different colors and combinations for the gradient of space. I also tried using painters tape to block out the water color and make stars. I a;so tried different combinations of black and white and water to makes different grays. This is where I tried different gradients of blue. I also tried mixing pastels and water color. Since they didn't cooperate, I switched from normal pastels to oil pastels. In this picture, I tried different shades of green in a darkening order. I also tried and succeeded at mixing oil pastels and water colors.
